Welcome to the R.L.C. Art Department! I am Ms. Ten Hoeve (or Ms. T.) and I am the Art Teacher for all grade levels here at Robert L. Craig School (Pre-School through grade 8).

The curriculum is centered on the principle that Art is about more than creation. Students will learn that Art is all around them and that speaking intelligently about Fine Art is as important as being able to create it. We will discover how learning a visual language can help us communicate in new and unexpected ways.

We focus on employing the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design, discover new art processes and materials, learn about design and career possibilities, utilize technology, delve into art history, hone the Artistic Habits of Mind, flex our imaginations and learn the value of ingenuity. We work with a variety of mediums and practice the proper care and manipulation of art tools.
