Reading is one of the most important things a child learns in school.  Without the ability to read a child is limited in what he or she can learn and accomplish in school and later in life.  Think about the things you read everyday: road signs, business names, menus, maps, directions, instruction booklets, advertisements, websites, e-mail, notes, letters, newspapers, books, and many more.  Life would be difficult without this most basic skill.  I am passionate about helping all students become successful readers.  That is why I teach reading!

Reading has been important to me throughout my life. My fondest memory from my school days was of my third grade teacher that read aloud to us daily after lunch. She introduced me to wonderful characters from award winning authors that I remember to this day. This was when I learned to love reading!

I am happy to be teaching at Robert L. Craig!  I am currently working with students in Kindergarten, First, and Second grades...helping them to grow and develop into great readers!
